Chiringa Chop Chop

A chiringa is a Puerto Rican kite, and kite-fighting is a beloved island tradition. In Chiringa Chop Chop you maneuver your kite to slice through your opponents’ strings while protecting your own — when you attack, your string becomes the blade. Ride the shifting winds, time your cuts, and fly through seven hand-drawn levels on a journey from the skies of Old San Juan to the kite-combat capital of Jaipur, India.

Built entirely in code

  • Procedural artwork — Every level is drawn in real time on an HTML5 Canvas. No image files: mountains, oceans, city skylines, and monuments are all rendered procedurally.
  • Procedural music — Not a single audio file. Every note is synthesized live through the Web Audio API, with soundtracks inspired by five Puerto Rican genres. No two playthroughs sound alike.
  • Peer-to-peer multiplayer — Create a room, share a code, and battle a friend directly.
  • Runs anywhere — No downloads or installs. Any modern browser on phone, tablet, or computer, with controls that adapt to touch or keyboard.
  • Four languages — Fully translated into English, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, and Hindi.
